How to Handle Alarms in the Cooling System of a Laser Cutting Machine

Time:2025-11-13

The most critical and common alarm type in the cooling system of a laser cutting machine is the water temperature/pressure alarm.

Example alarm messages: Water Temperature High, Water Pressure Low, Water Flow Fault

Possible causes and solutions:

1. Laser cutting machine water temperature too high:

Check the cooler: Confirm that the cooling switch is on and the set temperature is correct (usually 20-25°C).

Clean the laser cutting machine's heat dissipation components: Clean the dust from the cooler's condenser/radiator and ensure good ventilation.

Coolant issues: Check if the coolant is sufficient, too dirty, or expired; add or replace it as needed.

Ambient temperature: Ensure the equipment's operating ambient temperature is within the allowable range (usually 5-35°C).

2. Laser cutting machine water pressure/flow insufficient:

Check the water level: Add water to the chiller to the normal level.

Check the pipes: Confirm that the water pipes are free of bends, flattening, or blockages.

Check the water pump: Listen to the water pump's operating sound to see if it's normal. If there are abnormal noises or it's not working, it needs to be repaired or replaced.

Clean the water filter: Regularly clean the filter in the water system to prevent impurities from clogging it.

Total cost: Proper maintenance is essential when using a laser cutting machine to ensure it operates normally and without problems.
